Ingredients
- 2 TBS Infused Canna Coconut Oil Can switch coconut oil with another oil of choice if preferred.
- ¾ Cup Honey
Instructions
- Place a clean dish towel at the bottom of your crockpot.
- Add water to the crockpot or slow cooker to about half way.
- Pour honey into mason jars.
- Do not fill jars to the top. Leave enough room to add Canna Coconut Oil in next step.
- Add infused Canna Coconut Oil to the honey in the mason jars.
- Place the lids on the mason jars and tighten jars to "finger tight". You don't want water getting into your butter flower mixture. Do not screw on the lids too tight either.
- Carefully add the jars to the water bath. Watch for any bubbles that float to the surface as this will indicate one of the lids is not on tight enough. If that happens, remove the jar immediately to tighten the lid.
- Top off the water bath until the lids of the jars are just covered in water.
- Bring the water temperature to about 180℉. You have a range of about 160℉ to 200℉. The sweet spot is about 180℉.
- Place the lid on your slow cooker or crock pot and allow infused coconut oil to steep and melt in honey for four hours. Continue to maintain a consistent water temperature with either a cooking thermometer or digital temperature controls if your crock pot allows for that feature.
- After four hours, remove the jars from the water bath with tongs.
- Allow honey jars to cool enough for handling.
- Once cool enough to work with, but still liquid in consistency, pour the honey into an electric mixer.
- Whip honey with electric mixer whisk until honey is fluffy and light.
- Spoon whipped honey into clean mason jars. Betsy Bot recommends using wide mouth jars for easy dosing with Teaspoons or Tablespoons later.
- Store in a cool, dark place until ready to use.
- Label honey jars with the cannabis potency per batch AND per Tablespoon or whatever measurement unit you are using for the individual honey portions.
Betsy’s Infusion Notes:
- Spread on a piece of toast.
- A healthy spoonful added to hot tea.
- Any baking mixture that calls for honey.
- Used as a base for sauces such as Sweet & Sour Sauce.
- Remember DO NOT heat infused honey in the microwave. It will zap and kill all positive cannabinoid benefits.
- If infused honey becomes too crystalized or solid, warm the jar in a sauce pan water bath on the stove top until back to a workable consistency.
- Anything else you use honey for in recipes!
