Lemon balm offers a sweet, citrusy-herbal profile rich in terpenes such as citronellal and eugenol, promoting a calming, nervine effect. 1½cups80–100 proof vodka or brandy (or substitute with vegetable glycerin for alcohol-free)
Instructions
Combine herbs: Add hawthorn berries and lemon balm to a clean, dry glass jar.
Pour liquid: Cover herbs completely with vodka, brandy, or glycerin. Ensure everything is submerged.
Infuse: Seal tightly. Store in a dark, cool cabinet for 4–6 weeks. Shake gently once daily to aid infusion.
Strain: After 4–6 weeks, strain using cheesecloth or a fine mesh strainer. Discard spent herbs.
Bottle: Transfer the infused tincture into amber dropper bottles. Label with name and date.
