Instructions
Prepare the Lotion Base
In a double boiler, melt the beeswax and emulsifying wax until completely liquefied.
Add the sweet almond oil, coconut oil, and aloe vera gel, stirring gently until everything is well blended.
Add Distilled Water
Slowly add the distilled water into the melted oil mixture, continuing to stir as it emulsifies.
The water should blend into the oil until it forms a thick, creamy texture.
Incorporate CBD Oil and Vitamin E
Once the mixture cools slightly, blend in the CBD oil (or CBD isolate) and vitamin E oil for skin nourishment and antioxidant support.
Mix in Essential Oils
Add the peppermint and eucalyptus essential oils for their invigorating and cooling properties.
For an additional uplifting effect, add a few drops of citrus oils (such as orange or lemon). Stir well to fully incorporate.
Final Blending and Storage
Allow the lotion to cool to room temperature. Once cooled, whisk it vigorously or use a hand blender to give it a light, fluffy texture.
Transfer the lotion into an 8 oz (240 mL) pump bottle or airtight jar to preserve its consistency and potency.
Betsy's Infusion Notes:
πCBD Oil: Use CBD oil or CBD isolate depending on the strength you desire for pain relief. For maximum benefits, a full-spectrum CBD oil is recommended as it provides a range of cannabinoids and terpenes.πAdjusting Scent: The ratio of peppermint and eucalyptus oils can be adjusted based on preference. For a cooling effect, add more peppermint; for a clearer respiratory benefit, increase eucalyptus.πShelf Life: This lotion should be stored in a cool, dark place and can last up to 6 months.πUse: Ideal for use after a deep tissue massage, as it helps relax muscles, reduce inflammation, and leave the skin feeling smooth and moisturized.πThis lotion offers a calming yet revitalizing experience, perfect for therapeutic settings, with CBD and essential oils working synergistically to promote muscle relaxation, improve circulation, and enhance overall well-being.
