This smoothie combines lemon balm and passionflower, two powerful herbal allies known for their ability to reduce anxiety, emotional tension, and restlessness. Lemon balm uplifts mood and soothes the nervous system, while passionflower acts as a gentle sedative, helpful in balancing stress. Combined with creamy banana and citrus for brightness, this smoothie is both nourishing and functional. Cheesecloth or Fine mesh strainer (if using loose dried herbs and steeping tea first)
Ingredients
1frozenbanana
Β½cuplemon balm leaves (loosely packed) or 2 tbsp dried
1tspdried passionflower or 1 full dropper (30β40 drops) passionflower glycerite
Β½cupplain yogurt or non-dairy yogurt
Β½cupunsweetened almond milk or oat milk
ΒΌtsplemon zest (fresh or dried)
1tbsphoney, agave, or CBD-infused honey(optional)
Β½cupice(optional, for thicker texture)
1/4 avocado for creaminess and extra nerve support (B vitamins & magnesium)(optional)
Instructions
Infuse herbs (if not using glycerite)
If using dried lemon balm and passionflower, steep them in 1/3 cup hot water for 10β15 minutes, strain, and chill before blending.
Blend
In a blender, combine the frozen banana, lemon balm (fresh or steeped tea), passionflower (steeped tea or glycerite), yogurt, milk, lemon zest, sweetener, and ice. Add avocado if using.
Blend until smooth
About 30β45 seconds, until creamy and uniform.
Serve immediately
Pour into glasses and enjoy right away for optimal potency and freshness.
