This calming, floral lemonade is a functional beverage crafted to soothe both the nervous and cardiovascular systems. Lavenderβs rich linalool and linalyl acetate terpene content promotes relaxation, lowers heart rate, and reduces stress. Balanced with the bright acidity of lemon and sweetened naturally with honey or agave, this herbal infusion is ideal for moments of anxiety, tension, or as a refreshing circulatory tonic.
In a saucepan, bring 2 cups of water to a boil. Remove from heat and stir in the lavender buds. Cover and let steep for 10β15 minutes.
Strain
Pour the liquid through a fine mesh strainer into a pitcher to remove the lavender buds.
Mix
Stir in the lemon juice and honey/agave until fully dissolved and well blended.
Finish
Add the remaining 2 cups of cold water. Stir and taste; adjust sweetness or tartness if desired.
Serve
Pour over ice and garnish with lemon slices. Enjoy chilled.
