This method allows you to "wash" the wonderful flavor profile terpenes and cannabinoids, binding it to the alcohol and "washing" it off the plant matter. If you are looking to really maximize food flavors or medicinal benefits, this method is a great way to go. Keep this alcohol on hand for secondary staple infusions or to convert to Full Extract Canna Oil (FECO) concentrate.

Ingredients

  • 1 Cup 190% Proof Everclear Alcohol
  • a Portion Size of Decarbed Ground Cannabis Flower Toss-In per Potency Preference

Instructions

  • Use our Primary Staples Infusion Potency Calculator to determine how many grams of Cannabis Flower you want to use.
  • Weigh and measure decarbed flower.
  • Break flower into kernel sized pieces.
  • Add 190% Proof alcohol to one jar.
  • Add decarbed flower to another mason jar. (Do not combine ingredients yet).
  • Freeze BOTH jars in the freezer for 24 hours.
  • After one day, remove jars from freezer.
  • Pour 190% Proof Everclear Alcohol over the frozen flower.
  • Cover mason jar with lid, tightened at "finger tight" seal.
  • Gently invert and shake jar.
  • Place jar in freezer for 5 minutes.
  • Remove jar to invert and shake for a 2nd time.
  • Place jar in freezer for 5 more minutes.
  • Remove jar to invert and shake for a 3rd time.
  • Place jar in freezer for 5 more minutes.
  • Remove jar to invert and shake for a 4th time. (Keep it gentle).
  • Place jar in freezer for 5 more minutes.
  • Remove jar for the last time. Invert and shake for a 5th time.
  • Strain flower pulp matter using cheesecloth, a coffee filter or a French press.
  • Store in a dark jar or mason jar in either a cool dark place, refrigerator or freezer until ready to use.
