Equipment

  • Choose Storage Method: Freezer zip bags or Freezer Tupperware Containers or Airtight Storage Container.

Instructions

  • Combine non-infused and infused sugar together, if using this method.
  • Combine 3 TBS Cornstarch with desired amount of Infused Maltodextrin powder.

In sauce pan add the following ingredients:

  • 1 Cup of water (reserve the remaining ½ cup.
  • Add vinegar, ketchup, lemon juice, soy sauce, sugar, carrot and pineapple chunks
  • Boil for 10 minutes.

While boiling mixture on stovetop, in a small mixing bowl or spouted measuring cup, combine:

  • Cornstarch, water and maltodextrin powder, if using this infusion method.
  • Slowly pour water / cornstarch mixture into boiling sauce. A spouted measuring cup works best here. Continue to stir mixture while adding cornstarch mixture to boiling mixture.
  • This sauce will continue to thicken as it cools.
  • Serve immediately or refrigerate until ready for use. This mixture can also be frozen until ready for use.
  • Place in an airtight storage container or freezer zip bag. Label container with cannabis potency per serving.

Betsy's Infusion Notes:

Canna Infused Sugar and Canna Infused Maltodextrin Powder are the methods used to create this recipe. 
Infused Sweet & Sour Sauce can be:
  1. Served over breaded chicken, breaded seafood, grilled chicken or grilled seafood on top of a bed rice noodles.
  2. Served over vegetables.
  3. Used in a stir-fry recipe.
  4. Used as a dip for won tons.
  5. Any recipe mixture that calls for a sweet and sour sauce.
  6. Anything else you use sweet and sour sauce for in recipes!
